As we prepare to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, we see how far we’ve come but how the road stretches out ahead of us.

·        Most recent data shows the **gender pay gap** in Australia was 21.8%, equating to women earning 78 cents for every dollar men earn. In other words, women earn, on average, $28,425 less each year. (WGEA [_Australia’s_ _Gender Equality Scorecard 2023-24_](https://www.wgea.gov.au/publications/australias-gender-equality-scorecard)). New data will be released on March 4, 2025.

·        Surveys also show women are underrepresented in most companies’ **pipelines for leadership** roles. ([DDI survey](https://www.ddiworld.com/blog/women-leadership-statistics))

·        Yet more women leaders are shown to support a **more inclusive** environment and a **more engaged** workforce, both of which benefits everyone.

As you read this, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion movement is facing a crisis. The International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 theme is “Accelerate Action” but the world is witnessing a shock deceleration on making progress.

Major governments and organisations are backtracking, diversity conversations are getting muted, and many leaders are struggling to understand their role in creating inclusive environments.

As our upcoming speaker Mita Mallick says, inclusion isn't a trend you can switch on and off. It's a fundamental human need, especially in our workplaces.

12 March – Mita Mallick – IWD 2025

A CEW survey of ASX leadership teams reveals 9 out of 10 CEOs are still men, and nearly half of the nation's top 300 organisations (46%) had no women in their **leadership pipeline** at all in 2024.

Yet the top-performing companies do tend to have more women in their high-potential pools who are being developed to take over higher-level roles. (DDI World research)

Kylee Stone, Founder + CEO of The Performance Code, will guide and upskill emerging leaders and high potentials over 3 sessions in [Growth Faculty’s Emerging Leaders Program](https://thegrowthfaculty.com/events/emerging-leaders-program/overview?sid=a0KRG00000E4mHJ2AZ) weekly from 27 March.

Topics will centre around the foundations of leadership, including finding your purpose, communication, strategic thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and team building.

27 March – Emerging Leaders Program with Kylee Stone

All leaders will need new skills to adapt to the changes coming next. It’s important to know where the gaping holes are in your team’s future-proofing skills.

Join award-winning author and work futurist [Andrea Clarke to discuss key insights](https://thegrowthfaculty.com/events/AdaptMasteringChange/overview?sid=a0KRG00000E4UXK2A3) from her latest book _“Adapt: Mastering Change in 4 Steps”_

Over 45 minutes Andrea will discuss the traits of “adaptive intelligence” and practical ways leaders and teams can anticipate and shape change. Discover how to better cope with rapidly developing artificial intelligence, shifting boundaries, and ongoing uncertainty.

A former television news reporter and Washington D.C. correspondent, Andrea covered major news events for Al Jazeera English, the Pentagon Channel and Thomson Reuters before working on humanitarian aid programs to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan. Andrea is the founder of Future Fit Learning delivering its leadership programs exclusively through Growth Faculty. She is the author of Australian Business Book of the Year 2019 “_Future Fit,”_ and _“Adapt.”_

2 April – Andrea Clarke – Adapt: Mastering Change in 4 Steps

For all workplaces and leaders, the risks and ethics of AI adoption is a critical issue.

[Dr Immaculate (Mac) Motsi-Omoijiade](https://thegrowthfaculty.com/events/Understanding-AI-governance-challenges/overview?sid=a0KRG00000EgpPT2AZ) will lead a live and interactive session on

*    The current regulatory frameworks and governance structures guiding AI adoption globally
*   Ethical and trust imperatives associated with AI, including privacy, fairness, and transparency
*   Learnings from AI use cases in banking, healthcare, and other industries
*   Data protection strategies, such as data trusts
*   Actionable ideas to implement AI responsibly

Dr Motsi-Omoijiade is an expert in emerging technologies, specialising in the governance, regulation, and ethical deployment of AI, blockchain, and distributed ledger technologies. With a background spanning law, business, and technology, Mac has held roles at the Lloyds Banking Group Centre for Responsible Business,  the University of Birmingham's School of Law, the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies and the Warwick Business School AI Innovation Network.

Her work emphasises the intersection of technical innovation and regulatory frameworks, with a mission to advance responsible adoption of transformative technologies across industries.

30 April - Dr Immaculate (Mac) Motsi-Omoijiade – AI risks and ethics

How do repair trust when it breaks down? What are common trust challenges faced by CEOs, entrepreneurs, teams, and their leaders? How do you earn trust?

These are the themes to be discussed when leading trust expert and _“Who Can You Trust?”_ author [Rachel Botsman takes the virtual stage as a Global Headliner](https://thegrowthfaculty.com/events/HowtoTrustandBeTrusted/overview?sid=a0KRG00000E79WO2AZ) for Growth Faculty on 7 May. She’ll take part in an interactive virtual interview about her new audiobook _“How To Trust and Be Trusted.”_

Rachel Botsman teaches entrepreneurs and leaders at Oxford University and Saïd Business School, and she created the first courses on trust in the digital world. Her writings on trust have been widely published in _The Guardian, Financial Times, The New York Times, Harvard Business Review_, and _Wired._

In Growth Faculty’s live virtual session Rachel will share 5 clear principles and other insights on trust from her decade of research, and teachings on the subject.

7 May – Rachel Botsman – How to Trust and Be Trusted

As part of Growth Faculty’s AI stream in its 2025 program, [Asma Gulbaz](https://thegrowthfaculty.com/events/Asma-Gulbaz-Integrating-AI-into-leadership-practices/overview?sid=a0KRG00000Eutcs2AB), an engineering leader with extensive experience in driving product delivery and fostering collaboration across global teams, will lead a session focusing on how leaders can effectively integrate AI into their leadership practices.

On 23 July, Asma will guide your team through a discussion on AI adoption, managing change, ensuring sustainable outcomes, and nurturing an environment of collaboration and innovation.

23 July – Asma Gulbaz – Integrating AI into Leadership Practices

INSEAD business school professor Erin Meyer is the co-author with Netflix CEO Reed Hastings of _New York Times_ bestseller _“No Rules Rules.”_  In a [live interactive session on 6 August](https://thegrowthfaculty.com/events/ReinventYourOrganisationalCulture/overview?sid=a0KRG00000E6Nzb2AF), she will share her latest research conducted with Reed Hastings on work environments that foster creativity and adaptability.

You will learn key culture strategies from Netflix, and how to value people over process, innovation over efficiency, and how to lead with context, not control.
